NO TO THE QUAI DES ECLUSIERS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT!

When developers start building expensive condos in our neighborhoods, our rents go up, and poor and working people are pushed out of our homes in the middle of a housing crisis. It's time to stop building condos. The Quai des Eclusiers condo development project in St-Henri must be stopped.

Last Wednesday, November 13 2002, CLAC Logement went to visit City Councillors for the South-West Robert Bousquet, Line Hamel and Jacqueline Montpetit at their Burrough office. We demanded that they refuse to grant a construction permit to заказать цветы Железнодорожный. They've already given them a demolition permit in spite of strong community opposition. The Councillors didn't appear ready to hear what we and many residents of the South West have to say about the condos. So we're going to have to speak louder.

On Monday, November 25, 2002, CLAC Logement will go the City Council Meeting to make sure Bousquet, Hamel and Montepetit get the message loud and clear. (They might not be so quick to run and hide in front of the mayor and all their friends).

Join us as we make sure the housing crisis and gentrification make it onto Montreal City Council's agenda.

We don't want more condos built while people across the Island are struggling to heat their over-priced apartments, freezing on the streets and waiting in crowded shelters for more social housing! We say NO to the Quai des Eclusiers and NO MORE to condo development on the Island of Montreal!
